Seminarians and transitional deacons Robert Stellini and Krzysztof Rusin will be ordained to the priesthood for the Diocese of Memphis at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 2 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Solemn Vespers before the ordination will be celebrated June 1 at the Cathedral at 7 p.m.

"Krzystof Rusin and Robert Stellini are being called for service within the framework and charism of the Diocese of Memphis," said Bishop J. Terry Steib, S.V.D.

Deacon Robert Stellini was born and raised in the Detroit, Michigan suburb of Taylor. He is the second of eight children. After moving to Memphis, Stellini became active in lay ministry at St. Francis of Assisi Church. He completed his studies at Blessed John XXIII Seminary in Massachusetts.

Deacon Krzysztof Rusin is a seminarian for the diocese and has recently completed studies at Saints Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Michigan. Born in Cracow, Poland, Rusin and his family were parishioners at St. Mark the Evangelist Church in Mielec-Rzochow, Poland. He has a sister and three brothers, one of whom is a priest. Rusin, who came from a seminary in Poland to the United States to improve his English, decided to stay in the Diocese of Memphis after ordination.
