About Us

Who are we?

The Polish Catholic Mission of Memphis, TN is a mission of the Diocese of Memphis. The Mission was created in 1989 by Polish immigrants who settled in the Memphis area and wanted to provide Polish language Masses, confessions, and other religious and cultural activities. Their desire was to help the Polish born and their descendents maintain the Polish heritage in their religious lives here in the Memphis area.

What do we do?

The purpose of the Polish Catholic Mission is to organize Polish language activities centered around the Catholic Church. Their Catholic beliefs are very important to Poles and so much of their lives revolve around the Church and church festivals and holidays. We help coordinate with Polish clergy in the area to provide for Polish language services and other activities to keep the church in their hearts and lives throughout the year. Currently, we hold Polish language Masses one Saturday each month. Special Masses are organized on special holidays of significance to the Polish people. Polish priests in the Memphis area are on hand to help with spiritual guidance and comfort during all phases of the Christian life. We are here to serve the spiritual needs of the community.
